The S65 4.0L Racing Engine Rebuild, Stock Rods is excellent for BMW, SCCA or NASA club racing. This rebuild includes a CARBAHN Autoworks valve springs, centered pin low friction forged pistons, a valve job with new hydraulic lifters, timing chains, timing chain guides, timing chain tensioners and all associated seals and gaskets. 

The S65 4.0L Racing Engine Rebuild with racing cams, Stock Rods is excellent for BMW, SCCA, Trans Am or NASA club racing. This rebuild includes centered wrist pin low friction forged pistons, a valve job with new cam followers, timing chains, timing chain guides, timing chain tensioners and all associated seals and gaskets. This engine also includes a special very high lift racing camshaft specifically designed for SCCA GT-2 and Trans am 3 rules. This camshaft kit also includes a conversion to solid lifters, high performance valve springs with Titanium retainers.

Description

Steve Dinan has been building high performance and racing engines for BMW’s since 1977, winning 11 racing championships including 3 prototype championships and two – 24 hours of Daytona. The same engine shop that builds the racing engines also builds the street car engines. This group of talented engineers, engine machinist and engine builders has built hundreds of engines. From rebuilds to developing engines, they make over 625hp on an S65 and over 740hp on an S85.

Optionally, you may choose to further enhance performance with our very high lift and duration camshaft kit, specifically designed in accordance with SCCA GT2 and Trans TA3 rules. This camshaft kit also includes a conversion to solid lifters, high performance valve springs with titanium retainers, and racing valves.

These engines can run with the stock oiling system and wet sump, but for even more power and increased reliability, CARBAHN Autoworks recommends the use of our dry sump kit. This kit includes a Dailey Engineering billet oil pan and oil pump, plus additional pulleys and a drive belt.
