S54 3.3L Race Rebuild Kit

The CARBAHN Autoworks S54 3.3L race engine rebuild kit features CP centered pin low friction forged pistons and Carrillo forged connecting rods.

The pistons are over-sized by 1mm, which increases the displacement to 3320cc, and the compression is increased to 12.5:1. A racing spec multi-layer-steel (MLS) head gasket is included.

For even higher performance, we also offer an optional camshaft and valve spring kit. These racing cams have very high lift and duration, and are complemented by Diamond-Like Carbon (DLC) coated followers and racing valve springs with titanium retainers. Billet aluminum collets are used to control rocker arm movement at high RPM.

Description

Steve Dinan has been building high performance and racing engines for BMW’s since 1977, winning 11 racing championships including 3 prototype championships and two 24 Hours of Daytona. The same engine shop that builds the racing engines also builds the street car engines; these talented engineers, machinists, and builders have built hundreds of engines from OEM street rebuilds to full-blown racing engines.

 

The CARBAHN Autoworks S54 3.3L race engine rebuild kit features CP centered pin low friction forged pistons and Carrillo forged connecting rods. The piston is over-sized by 1mm, which increases the displacement to 3320cc, and the compression is increased to 12.5:1. A racing spec multi-layer-steel (MLS) head gasket is included.

The power (without catalytic converters) on 100 octane race gas is 375HP using J1349 (SAE dyno correction used by OEM’s) and 394HP using J607 (the typical aftermarket correction).

For even higher performance, we also offer an optional camshaft and valve spring kit. These racing cams have very high lift and duration, and are complemented by Diamond-Like Carbon (DLC) coated followers and racing valve springs with titanium retainers. Billet aluminum collets are used to control rocker arm movement at high RPM.

Utilizing the cam kit, the power (without catalytic converters) on 100 octane race gas is 400HP using J1349 (SAE dyno correction used by OEM’s) and 420HP using J607 (the typical aftermarket correction).
